Something New...Snap-ON Drinking glasses
« on: September 18, 2012, 05:29:30 PM »
I was just cruising the halls of Craig's List and stumbled on to a set of six Snap-ON drinking glasses.  Now how are you Snap-On collectors going to pass this up.  If some one really wants them I might be able to pick them up for you and with a little help on the shipping cost, send them to you.

I don't collect Snap On, but, dang!  Those are just about irresistible.  Now if they were Thorsen glasses...

They'd probably have an overseas COO
"FORGED IN THE USA" myself.  Be good to your tools!

I had an alluminum mug shaped like a giant socket with a handle on it.
It sold fast.
Of all the things I've lost , I miss my mind the most

I went up to Newport yesterday and picked up the glasses.  They are cool, I'll put them on the shelf and dust them every once in a while.
OH  Cheers bird.

OK, now, so, Beer, or Wine Coolers?
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Wine coolers????????????
Seriously, a good beer should have the honor of living in one of those Snap On glasses........      I'm partial to the local beers around here........ I'm sure you've never heard of them.  When I lived in England I liked carlesburg......  I can't spell the name and it was a fairly light beer.  I had the unfortunate habit of drinking a "car bomb."   A "Car Bomb"  is a pint of guiness with a shot of whiskey dropped into the pint.  You "chug" the whole thing.......  and that is a car bomb drink.
I know, a really stupid drink......  but, it seemed like a good idea at the time.  Come to think of it.....  that actually wasn't a drink in England .....  that was a drink we started with after work (the kitchen industry....  that speaks for itself).
Now you know how great my judgement is...............
I do seem to live in the "mecca" of beverages. We have our own coffee beans here, 14 or so wineries, 4 beer breweries, an apple "cider" place, an incredibly great person that sells one of a kind  scotch ,  and an  incredible amount of "full bodied" moonshine. I guess my county has over 20 legitimate alcohol "places."
Despite the alcohol that has made this county prosperos, I still enjoy the fact that we don't have a stoplight in the whole county.  ....  that makes me happy, I guess it's the little things.
