Ah, Yes, Hardy Co. West Virginia.
My father used to make the trek their every spring to hunt turkeys with two of his best friends. One passed away a few years ago, and since the camp used was his family camp, they no longer go each spring. I had the privilege of going back in the early 2000's with them. Good times, no turkey for me, but a trip I'll always remember. The camp was at the base of a mountain, and the National Forest was a short walk up the hill.
Mostly, I remember it was quicker to go into Virginia (about 3 miles) for a soda, then back to the nearest town in WV )about 7 miles if I remember correctly.
