whats it rings
« on: March 17, 2012, 03:15:12 PM »
Anyone know if this has a specific function. Got it with a stove tool at auction but have no clue whether it has a stove function. Could be a puzzle as it has me puzzled.

It does resemble the puzzles my mother loved. She always had one or two for us kids and her grandkids.

Looks like it might have gotten solved with a hacksaw.
The removable member is missing.

Thanks for lead. Maybe they removed the shuttle and forgot to reassemble it. Hmmm for $22 I can get a newer version or I can reverse engineer it and make my own shuttle. Maybe the scrap barrel is the best solution.

That is a prime candidate to hang on the shop wall as a Whatz-it.  Make the young ones scratch thier heads.

Wire puzzle (or part of one) - it's missing the detachable part (the U shaped piece)
