Here are the "old" motorcycles that I had growing up.
1. James- made in England, 1 cyl., 2 stroke, 3 speed hand gear shift on left side of gas tank.
2. Servi-cycle- made in the USA, a big rubber belt went around the rear rim and connected to a left foot rocker pedal. You pushed the pedal down slowly while adding gas and off you went. 4 stroke
3. Cushman scooter, Bench seat, soild floor pan, kick starter in middle of floor pan, speed sensitive centrifugal clutch. 4 stroke
4.Cushman Eagle, 2 speed gear shift, sat low, small tires like an atv of today. 4 stroke
5. Zundapp- made in Germany. 2 stroke, headlight pin starter key. super fast 2 stroke.
6.BSA 500 sport twin. Fast, pipes high up on right side. Out drag any car.
Hardest bike to ride was a 500cc AJS. single cyl, compression release, scary acceleration, bad brakes.
