IHC / Chattanooga Plow Co wrench
« on: January 17, 2012, 01:31:48 AM »
I found this in a street market here in central Mexico.  A few questions asked in the right places got me the info that this was supplied most likely with a plow and before 1944.

I've had it for months and finally scraped the gunk out of the lettering to discover the IHC logo hidden so long.
The only bad tool is the one that couldn't finish the job.  Ironicly it may be the best tool for the next job.

Good find! According to Rathbone Chattanooga Plow Co was sold to IHC in 1919 and then sold by IHC in 1944.  In 2001 one sold for $40.00 so it must not be as common as a lot.
