Hello, All. The first 2 photos are what was left of the fence post caps that needed replacing. The next 4 are what I made for replacement. The old wood was cedar, it did not hold up well in this application. I did not do the turning, an 8” x 8” cube of glued up African Pearwood was sent to a local guy, and was turned to a 5” diameter, with a stub tenon for mounting. The rest is also African Pearwood, with one coat of epoxy resin sealer, and 2 coats of the finish color. The edge profiles were done by me with a combination of router bits, table saw, and some hand work. One of the fun aspects of my job!!! Regards, Lou
