Auction reults Off Topic
« on: November 09, 2011, 07:06:11 PM »
I was kinda blown away when I saw the final price for the Perfect Handles Papaw was bidding on, then this morning I got this from a friend.  $201,000 for an unrestored antique motorcycle and $34,500 for a sign. There does not seem to be a lack of money in a portion of the population.

Didn't have all that many tools for a collector.

Stoney, the high rollers at this auction had little interest in tools. Tool interest implies that you get your hands dirty and, as we all know, that just ruins your manicure. There were a few.

Wow, that was quite a collection. Thanks for the link. I read that the auction brought in almost 4 million dollars. Here is a link to some more information and a video about the 'Lee Roy Hartung' collection.

That video puts you right into the preparations for the auction.
