Well is IS a tool, but not what thought
« on: March 18, 2018, 09:16:17 PM »
Auction today had few prizes, but this one caught my eye.

made by, or maybe for, the Starman Syphon company NY NY.

It  is used   to open the chrome tops on antique seltzer bottles.

I was hoping it was for a water pump or a windmill, but it's still kinda cool

Okay,  it does seem to have the look of a tool used in animal husbandry.

Heck yeah I definitely would have picked that one up. And no way would have I ever guessed it was for opening seltzer bottles.
My friends call me Bob. My wife calls me a lot worse.

Interesting. Do the tops screw off or is there a rubber or cork stopper or? Inquiring minds want to know.
A person who could really read human minds would be privileged to gaze on some correct imitations of chaos.
