Lots of rain and flooding in Houston today.  Looks like a fireworks washout.  Lots of cookouts cancelled today.
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....

We have had enough rain this afternoon that there is little need for concern about setting off fireworks.
Happy 4th all.
A person who could really read human minds would be privileged to gaze on some correct imitations of chaos.

I would take rain gladly over most of 100 degrees any day. I hate hot weather.

I'm south of Houston and it's been around 90 degrees with 100% humidity which equals a sauna here.  Been sprinkling the last couple of hours. Light rain forcast tonight. Nothing like Houston saw today.

I wasn't going to put this in but thought about it and:  stayed about 80s overnight on the 4th, got maybe 3-4 hours sleep.  Left midmorning to get wife to the Dialysis clinic, 50 miles away.   Going through my hometown got to see the parade lining up, and missed it, just like the past 4 years.  Had the usual 4 hour wait at the clinic, during which I read and napped, because the places I haunt were closed with the Holiday.   Hot on the way home,  AC couldn't keep the house cool with it about 97 all afternoon.    Finally about dark a storm front moved in which cancelled all the area fireworks.  We stayed home and enjoyed the cool temps, and watched the lightning bugs.
