Crescent woodworking bit
« on: July 06, 2018, 09:48:35 AM »
I have a nice little adjustable woodworking bit made for a hand operated augur.
The logo shows a crescent moon inside a shield.  The word CRESCENT extends diagonally across the logo, and U.S.A. appears at the bottom.
Is this the same Crescent brand of adjustable wrench fame?
Anyone have an idea of the dates of that logo?  Haven't found any similar logo online.
The ORIGINAL Northwoods.

I have a type collection of nearly 200 makers and don't find that one----maybe a picture would help.
