Plomb Tool Box
« on: October 28, 2017, 12:58:42 AM »
I saw on Ebay a Plomb upper tool box.  Has anyone else seen one? That one went for a lot of money.  I have never seen one in the "flesh".

It's the type with the fold up lid and fold down front panel.

I know the type. I have seen 3 over the years. One at at flea market and the other two are sitting in my garage. I will look at them later and will report my findings.

I was able to get to the the Plomb tool boxes. The  first one is a model #9980 and it is 22-1/4 inches wide, 9 inches deep and 6-1/2 inches tall. It was painted red at one time. I don't know if that's the original color. It does have a drop down front lid and a hinged top lid. The second one has no model number on the lid. It is 20-1/2 inches wide, 9 inches tall and 11-1/4 inches deep. The first one is in pretty good condition and would be easy to restore. The second one is pretty used up and would need lots of work. It also has the drop down front and hinged lid. Both have two carry handles and both have hasps to lock them. I will post some pictures the next time my grand daughter comes over.
