Who Made This Screwdriver?
« on: May 09, 2011, 11:39:09 PM »
I am rather taken with this unusual little ratcheting screwdriver. It works well in both directions and locks up as it should in the lock position. The only markings I can find are the "L" and "R" legends at the switch and U.S.A.

I would like to know about who made this when. Any info out there?

JAFE,

I frequently run into interesting plastic handled drivers with seemingly no brands or other I.D. on them.  I usually give the handles a quick scrub in solvent tank followed by anther scrub with dish soap, water, and a tooth brush.  Then I examine the handle under a desk lamp with a magnifying glass.  Many times I find a faint imprint where a name or other I.D. used to be printed.

You may have already tried this, but if not, you got nothing to loose.

Wish I could be more help.  Cute driver btw.

Look for very small print around the bolster where the shaft enters the body.

I have just gone over it very carefully and can not find anything in the handle or the bolster. Good suggestions but I can find nothing.
