Challenger finger socket
« on: February 20, 2016, 02:01:01 PM »
Found this little fellow in my basement this am. I'm still putting wrenchs on spreadsheets and hanging them on pegboard. I don't know where this little fellow came from but its cuter than a speckled pup. Its a Penens Challenger 1/2 in socket with a permanently attached knob and a 1/4 drive in end. Wonder if they made a set of these ?

So would I! I've never seen any like that but I'd like to.

I seem to remember Craftsman sold sockets with a black plastic ring around them in the 80's or 90's.

I wonder why they would have made it permanently attached?  Except to sell more stuff. http://www.papawswrench.com/vboard/Smileys/popos/cheesy.gif
It is in essence a nut driver with no shank and a stubby handle.
