F H Ayer socket set
« on: March 25, 2016, 02:09:42 PM »
Interesting what I don't know. Had never heard of F H Ayer Mfg Co. Bought this set at auction last night with no idea who made it. Turns out It was F H Ayer Mfg. Co and they are still in business today. Alloy has small article on them with link to their history. If the front edge of case wasn't rusted thru it would have been a good buy.

This little pivoting screwdriver was in case with sockets. My question is what is the spring on other end for. Maybe I'm missing something ?
