I know on ebay some call them aviation or welding clamps. Their homepage doesn't seem to say.

Thanks Heelspur. Looks like they refer to it as a "Plier type squeeze" clamp.
Handy item. I didn't know they were still made. Pricey when new

A friend gave one of those plier clamps.  Right now it is clamped on my Cub tractor as a stop for hydro lever. Handy.

The clamps of the type shown that I have were made by De-Sta-Co, which still makes them, and calls them "Squeeze Action Clamps."

Handy little things.

I bought a ton of those clamps in a lot off eBay.  They are indeed handy and I use them for auto sheet metal, particularly filling spot weld cutout holes.

Many years ago, Boeing had a surplus store in Tacoma WA just south of Seattle. There were four foot pallet boxes full of them for $1 each. I bought a few. It was the greatest used tool store I ever saw.
