Danielson pliers. What wre they used for?

These pliers are marked JP Danielson Co USA and are 8" long. Does anyone know what they are used for? Thanks

This is one plier in a set of two for battery servicing. This one holds the 4 point battery bolt head, the mate to this tool is a plier with 8 sides and would grab the hex nut. It could grab a corroded nut and keep the edges from rounding. Think of it similar to a flare nut wrench, but in a plier form.

He-He. Now you don't service batteries...you just replace them! Took my truck battery in for them to "test". They said, it's bad, and sold me a new one.
