The link to the auction listings was magic for me.  I finally identified a stove-side hatchet I've used for years that has absolutely no markings.  It's item numbers 474 & 458 in the listings and I'd just figured I'd never know who made them or when.  I'm so happy I'm "dogged," something my dog-friend Stamper would agree with, because I took the time to scroll down and read the heading of each item-group and clicking on picture links to the groups that intrigued me — like fencing tools, which I "knew" my tool was.  Sadly, I can't afford to discover what those two examples bring at auction, but I'm content to now know more about it.  Especia thanks to Lewill2 and mvwcnews for the link posts.

bear_man, The best way to look for an item in my catalogs when you don't know the name or company is to click to the "All photos on one page link" and scroll thru the photos.

The two Ranchman combination tools are lot numbers 274 and 458.

& after massaging into "page friendly", run through the copy shop, etc. -- the mailed "hard copies" are en route to those on "Bus' mailing list.  I have received absentee bids as well.

Yet another fine job of putting the auction together fellows! I'm hoping to attend some of these auctions in person eventually, but sadly this won't be one of them. I'll be sending off an absentee bid list shortly.

Bus, thanks for the correction.  At least I wrote the item numbers down correctly on the string-tag I made for the tool.   *he mops the sweat off of his brow*
