Lectrolite Adjustable
« on: August 27, 2017, 05:15:51 PM »
Hello, I found the wrench at the top at the flea today, it has in raised figures 16 in LECTROLITE DEFIANCE OHIO  A . The wrench at bottom is from my personal tools, and has in raised figures 16 in S-K TOOLS  A M. Both have 16 in FORGED ALLOY IN USA on the flip side. As far as I can tell they are identical, except for the A  and A M markings. Are there a lot of these Lectrolite Adjustables around? First one I have come across. Regards, Lou

I have a 12" Lectrolite in my work tool box.  It's a good wrench.  Not sure about how common or uncommon they are.

I don't i have ever seen a Lectrolite adjustable before. To be honest, I have only seen about two dozen Lectrolite tools in the last 47 years since I got tool fever. I saw a box combo wrench the other day, but it was very rusty so I passed on it. For some reason I see tons of Barcarlo and Vlchek tools. Must not be to popular with collectors ?

You don't see them very often especially 16 in. I would guess that they were both mfd. by Diamond or Crescent. Lectrolite seems to have only made wrenches for themselves and S-K. I also have Lectrolite pliers that are J P Danielson made.
A person who could really read human minds would be privileged to gaze on some correct imitations of chaos.

I have Lectrolite crescent-type adjustable wrenches in 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 inch.  Don't know if I have seen a 16", but then I haven't looked as I don't collect anything over 12 inches.
