hi
« on: April 25, 2014, 02:26:41 PM »
HI folks, I hope everyone is doing well and am thankful for all support!  It's a cold rainy day here. So, I'm sorting through a bunch of my wrenches and sockets and pulling out doubles, making a list of what I need. So, before long maybe some of us can have a socket swap! It's getting to be garden season, the garden is tilled. I have to remind myself that one warm day in the beginning of April DOESN't mean I should run outside and plant stuff!! I've made that mistake all to often. Spring is the unpredictable season around here. THe strawberries are showing off their flowers, the rasberrys continue to have an affinity to be lazy and lie on the ground, instead of standing tall. .... they have no self pride!!!  My dog has become lazy, or smart enough to know she can only catch one out of 50 rabbits she goes after. I've been hard at work trying to reorganize my shop..... a never ending project!!! All of my lumber is rough cut from someones farm, property ect. So it all has to be cut, planed, jointed, ect.  It takes a lot of time, but is usually free lumber from local fallen trees. THere's some waste, but I get the advantage of beautiful grain patters, burls, ect. that you would have to pay a lot for if bought. I use as much as I can...... which is acheived by making a lot of little stuff--- cutting boards, coasters, foot stools, ect.  Maybe I'll take a picture or two of my shop.  I hope everyone is doing well.
cheers,
bird.

Spring and fall are the greatest times of the year.  All we've planted so far in Denver is bulbs and pansies. I'm always tempted to plant early, Mrs. Chilly keeps me in check.

Shop pics are great to see.  I'd be very interested in seeing your creations, too.

Regards,

Chilly

Pictures of your shop sounds great!

Haven't you talked about having a grizzly band saw and jointer before? I could be wrong, I am not sure.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.

who gave that right to me.
