Value of large vintage wrenches
« on: November 18, 2013, 06:28:44 AM »
I have these large vintage wrenches in my modest collection. They are all in very nice condition. They are so big they take up too much space in my tool box. I'm considering selling them to make room. I am torn since they are great quality and have great feel but I have no real use or need for them. I know it would cost a small fortune to buy these sizes new. I think if I were to melt these down I could build a new Kia! Does anyone know what these are actually worth?

You will not retire on the proceeds...

The Bonneys will be of the most interest to a collector filling gaps, but there are likely not many who would pay $20 for the lot...

I found they are a lot easier to buy then to sell. $3-4 if someone is looking for one.
Of all the things I've lost , I miss my mind the most

I like that Hinsdale, but only because I'm slowly building a set of them. Is it marked with HD-?? or just the sizes.

I recently sold four of those indestro combos in 7/8,1, 1-1/16 and 1-1/8 inch sizes. I think I got 12$ out of the set of four.

My vintage tool Want list:
Wards Master Quality 1/2" drive sockets (Need size 5/8), long extension, & speeder handle.
-Vlchek WB* series double box wrenches.
-Hinsdale double-box end round shank wrenches.

Bigger isn't always better when it come to storing wrenches, and especially when it comes to selling.

As much as I like those wrenches theres not much value on the used market for them. If you were to go buy replacements of them off a snapy truck or industrial supply you would be charged a pretty penny.

who gave that right to me.
