Hi All,
I'm trying to get more information about a rusty old wrench I bought at a thrift store.
It's 24" and reads "Crescent Tool Co. Jamestown NY" along the handle. On the other side, it says "Forged Crestoloy , steel made in USA". It appears as though it may have been painted yellow at one time, as there are flecks of yellow paint still visible on the handle.
The letters LF are "carved" on the top of it.
I have researched this awesome tool and cannot find another 24" that's of the same era. So, my questions are:
What's the history of this bad boy?
What might it have been used for?
What is the value of it?
Is it rare?
How old is it approximately?
Thank you for any information you can provide!!
