Mystery Frankenstein rachet

This is an unmarked 1/4" drive that came out of my last auction score. Any ideas as to maker or vintage? Looks a bit like an SK  but not exactly the same as the picture I found.

From what I have seen, those are nice, tough little ratchets. I tried to buy one on Ebay once, but it went way over what I was willing to pay.

Seems like some of the guys on here have posted them before, but that may have been before the big crash wiped everything out.

I have one just like it in my collection.
It was advertised as an S-K, but there is no name on it.
Like yours.

Looks like it would work good in tight spots. My only Frankenstein ratchet is a 1/2 inch drive Globemaster. Your appears to be well made and pleasing to the eye.

I had a 1/4" like that. I was told it was made by Wright.

I have one too.  I don't think anyone knows for sure who made them.  I have also seen posts on garage journal with no sure answer to the "Who made it?"

I've got a complete set with one of those ratchets. It was made by G.M. Co. in Long Island City,NY. Not to be confused with General Motors. From what I have been able to find out, they also made a pressed steel ratchet and all sorts of other metal products. The quality is not very good, sort of on the Oxwall level. Of the three ratchets I have, only one works really well, the sliding pawl  is subject to wear. I have Wright and a Speedmaster version of the Wright ratchet and they are much better tools.
