Indestro board
« on: April 29, 2012, 06:24:54 PM »
Picked this up at an auction on Wed for $10.00. Does anyone have an idea for a date? Its bilingual Which was required starting in I think 1970 but some companies were several years ahead of that.  One of the rachets(#2775) was patented in 1954 so post 1954. There is the remains of a clear plastic decal on the top which was partially readable until I wiped the fertilizer off ( looked like it was used as a chicken roost) Top line was a letter or 2 and then asso and possibly another letter (I'm guessing French) bottom line a point down triangle and Indestro. I don't think Indestro had a plant in Canada so am assuming these are the same tools sold in the USA. Any help appreciated.

I'm tempted to try to fill it but common sense tells me I never would. Newer Indestro is not common locally. I will likely put it in one of the antique auctions later this summer. The cost of shipping is probably more than the board is worth to anyone so I don't know how else to save it from the dump.

I'm shocked that any Indestro would be anything but very rare locally!

I wouldn't say the older Indestro is common but I wouldn't call it rare either. Bits and pieces show up. I can't say that I have seen anything resembling a set.
