Pop definitely would have gotten a kick out of that! He also liked horseshoes. I don't know if you knew that or not, but that's a nice little bonus. :)

just got to hang that horseshoe with the tips up so the good luck doesn't run out.   i had one years ago and swmbo didn't like it hanging over my door.   it came off a prior owner in wyoming and he didn't mind giving it up.
