I picked up the results of an online auction today and stopped at the ReStore on the way back. At ReStore I got a nice 5/16 Proto Challenger and a Wiremold advertising screwdriver. The driver is also marked with Edward Joy (electric and lighting) Company and their phone number (old style - starting with letters - but the same number they have today). The other wrench is a Lexus auto kit wrench.
The auction results had a few good items and a lot of junk. Someone went to the trouble of painting the "Indian" logo on the toolbox in three colors, but over a poorly painted coat of gray.
Here you can see there are some interesting pliers, Mansco needlenose W. Germany and Utica Box joint pliers. There's a nice Vlchek wrench and McKaig-Hatch 10" adjustable. The Ford adjusable still has some original paint. The Utica pliers must be old - AA info puts these between 1913 and 1920 as there is the checkered grip and no model number stamped.
The yellow screwdriver is a nice Vaco and there's a K-D brake tool. There's about 9 tape measures, mostly brand x. 4 Stanley utility knives.
Can anyone recognize the wrench? The slip joint plier is marked UTK 56.
What about the small gas pliers? The only mark is possibly a V near the pivot. The handles have an unusual round "button" or "pebble" pattern which you can just see in the photo.
Massive 12" pair of scissors in good condition. Can barely read the maker's mark but a quick ebay search reveals it is Reliance Compton of Newark, N.J. (where I was born).
This crazy screwdriver is a Flip Out by Speed Hex. The head turns and locks into multiple positions at 45 and 90 degrees. Spins forward and reverse and is variable speed. It works but I'll have to get a charger for it from my junk box upstairs.
