Looking for information on a few old power tools
« on: May 25, 2019, 09:47:11 PM »
I acquired several old power tools after my grandfather passed. I’m trying to determine values bc I intend to sell these. The Van Camp Sabre saw I haven't been able to find anywhere. Any help is much appreciated. I have  photos but I’m not sure how to resize them so I can post the photos.

Tools I’m interested in selling:

Black & Decker No. U-440 utility finishing sander

Black & Decker No. 63 Heavy Duty Saw (6 1/2” circular saw)

Black & Decker No. U-3 Deluxe Utility Drill w/ original metal case

Van Camp Industrial Rated Variable Speed Sabre Saw, Model VC-1812
(I can’t find anything about Van Camp aside from a brief history of the Van Camp Hardware And Iron Co. in Indianapolis from 1886 to 1967 when it was sold to Graystone and moved to New York.

Any help would be great!

Old power tools are awesome, but for some reason not very sought after. Let me do some digging around and see what I can find.

Thanks for taking a look for me. I’ve tried finding resources online but most are dead ends or return values that are all over the place. I think old tools are very cool, but I don’t have the space to keep everything. I would imagine the value depends on finding the right person to some extent. I’m not expecting much, I just want them to end up with someone that will appreciate the tools more that I. All of the tools are in great condition aside from normal wear and tear. Cords are in good shape and all are working. The VanCamp Sabre saw is the most intriguing to me bc it has been elusive thus far.

Thanks again,

Paul

The Van Camp may be rebadged?
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....
