CRAFTSMAN, FULTON, DUNLAP TOOLS WITH A-I MARKING

 I have a recently acquired underlined CRAFTSMAN egg beater drill with A-I on the crank arm & the chuck, a FULTON with the same markings and just saw a DUNLAP on the e place with the same markings and am curious what that marking refers to or means. Since Sears used FULTON & DUNLAP for economy tool lines at one time in addition to their normal CRAFTSMAN line I'm sort of thinking it had to do with a vendor code. Would appreciate any definitive information including time frame used as I'm thinking the underlined CRAFTSMAN was used in the 1940's. Please see attached photos. Thanks.

Hello, Charlie. There seems to be a lot of info available regarding Craftsman manufacturer codes. It seems that most of the codes apply to wrenches, , or, power tools. I bet there is someone on here that could help you out with the hand tools. Regards, Lou

While cataloging a couple of breast drills lately in noticed each was marked A-I.  They are a Craftsman and a Dunlap.  The design is different for each of them.
