Hello, You have a good eye!!! The wall angle is nailed to the bottom edge of the exposed ceiling joists, (storage loft above), and then tiles and cross tees across the wall angle. I went with R-19 fiberglass batts in the ceiling joists, and an R-15 , blown-in cellulose & fiberglass batts in the walls. Thanks, Lou

OK Lou, I just can't stand the suspense, What does finishing the ceiling have to do with leveling the floor? ;-()

All of the ceiling parts are stacked on the floor!!!! I don't like to move things twice, so as soon as the ceiling is installed, I have a clear shot at the floor!!!!!

That makes sense. Is the floor concrete?

Hello, Papadan. Yes it is concrete, cracked & heaved, also a good coat of lead based paint. I am borrowing a Surface Grinder with a HEPA vac for the safe removal of the paint, the new floor coating would not stick to the old paint. Tried doing it manually , (wet scraping), stuff just would not come off.Regards, Lou
