quick giveaway for machinists
« on: November 06, 2011, 08:30:33 PM »
I got a few machine tool bits in last nights auction.

I know bupkis about this stuff, so they are free to the first one who relies "I'll take them".

1/2 taper reamer

15/32 reamer

spiral reamer

some sort of really odd drill bit.

anyone who wants to 'learn' me about these is appreciated.

Really hard to make out the right from the pic, possibly a D reamer. Any possibility of a better picture of just the bit in question?

In my opinion whenever someone offers to give anything away you have to cover his shipping and a few dollars for his hassle of getting it there.
Always looking for what interests me, anything early Dodge Brothers/Graham Brothers trucks ( pre 1932 or so ) and slant six / Super six parts.

Hard to see in the picture, but I think the fluted weird bit is a plastic bit...
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.
