NOB PRODUCTS CORP SOCKET SET
« on: November 07, 2011, 05:48:14 PM »
I got this socket set over the weekend. It's marked : NOB PRODUCTS CORP  BUFFALO NY  # 9 SPECIAL KIT. There are no other markings anywhere. It kinda looks like an add on set to a bigger set.

The only thing I found about NOB is a 1924 mention.."Keystone Tool & Metal Parts Corporation, Buffalo, NY, has changed its name to the Nob Products Corporation"

Neat socket set...

(Steel processing and conversion: Volume 10 )
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Really nice old set. AA has a blurb about Keystone its on the page and you have to scroll way down. They look like some quality tools.

Why would anyone change their name from Keystone to NOB?
