Merry Christmas!
« on: December 24, 2016, 07:52:05 PM »
When she was a kid, my mom's uncle would set up an elaborate village every year.  She began around 1975 and carried on the tradition til she passed.  Now the tradition is in my hands.

Skip, I don't know what a Hornby train is... I'll have to look it up.  It's the Marklin (W Germany) set that my mom bought, with a few extra pieces of track.
Mrs. E bought me this cool shirt for Christmas...

As an equipment mechanic I soon learned these were called "bush bolts",  all those extra pieces that you throw in the bushes when you're done with a repair!

Merry Christmas an a great new year :)
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

Looks like another model railroader here,  sounds like a good tradition.
