As KW posted, this topic came up recently.

I have some questions if you don't mind.

First, any way you can add a photo of the drive side of the head?

Are there markings around the bottom of the handle?

The handle end certainly looks like Duro Chrome/Indestro however the transition from the beam to handle seems different.

Thanks. Very hard to tell but that side there reminds me of a Crescent ratchet.

I was curious if it happened to be this patent issued to JH Williams:

https://www.google.co.in/patents/US2706424?dq=US2706424+A&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwip1caN6InQAhUJ1CYKHSjfD1wQ6AEIGzAA

Oddly, the later Crescent Niagara patent  http://www.google.com/patents/US2982161 cites another patent belonging to the inventor of the above Williams patent ratchet.

This is too deep for me. Normally I can just look and tell but nothing conclusive here. Staring at patent sketches too long can drive a guy nuts.

With out seeing the inside of that ratchet you will never know if either one of those pertain or not. Both patents are for the drive mechanism, nothing to do with the design of the ratchet its self.
A person who could really read human minds would be privileged to gaze on some correct imitations of chaos.

Yeah, but they look identical.
