Please explain to me why some dim bulb would grind the Bluepoint marking off this nice little wrench. Cost me an hours searching because I tried the wrench companies starting with (B) and tried Bluepoint but didn't realize they used (Bluepoints) way back when. Found the arrows and Bluepoints designation in(collecting Snap-on) in 1928 catalog. Such a waste of a nice old wrench and my time. I assume that no one reading this would do this but had to vent. I hope the company didn't do this for some obscure reason or lack thereof.

It is not impossible that the comnpany did in fact do that, if it was a production defect, grinding the logo off would be a reasonable way to ensure the scrap yard didn't try to sell it as a good tool , it could also be a warranty return that the company didn't want returned again.

It could also have been defaced by an owner company so employees would have less incentive to steal it and sell it...

or it could just have gotten stuck in a grinding machine on a bad day...
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.
