HOME MADE BULLET MOLD

I picked this up in a box of stuff at  Estate sale.No real markings on this except 2 XX's and a guy's name in marker.The hinge is crudely wrapped around the pin.It looks like the stuff we would make in high school metal class.A lot of slop in the hinge.Otherwise a nice mold.

Have you figured out what calibre it is?  Round ball, mini-ball, or modern bullet.  I wish we could have done more than just stick weld in metal shop.

It measured out at .350" . When I was in metal shop we used to take transmissions apart and melt down the aluminum. We also used to melt down pennies from Canada because the exchange rate was so off.Until we got caught.I didn't know it was illegal to melt pennies.We made sand castings of all sorts of stuff.I don't think they offer metal shop anymore.

Almost no schools have a metal shop. However very few schools have vocational programs contracted out by private collages for mechnics, construcion trades, autobody, hvac, eltrical, landscaping, culinary, cosmotology, and nursing.

The vocational programs are frowned upon thoe.
