Artcraft DOE
« on: September 24, 2011, 10:56:31 AM »
Does anyone know anything about Artcraft wrenches. My father did radio & TV repair from around 1950 until around 1970. He had a small set of Artcraft DOE wrenches. 4 wrenches in the set, 3/8 - 5/16, 11/32 - 9/32, 1/4 - 15/64 and 7/32 - 13/ 64. Only marks are the size and ARTCRAFT in the center section of each wrench. They range from 3 5/8 to 2 7/8 in length.

There was a large electrical supply house called Artcraft in Wilmington, Del. that supplied a full range of tools, controls, etc to the electrical crafts in the Delaware Valley. It may be they had wrenches made for them to sell to their customers. Artcraft was actively in business when I first arrived in the Delaware Valley in 1963 and remained in business for another 15 or 20 years.
