Project so far- Baby Bed, ----Advice??

Well I am getting another grandaughter. Callie she will be.
 So the girl needs a place to sleep for the first 6 or 8 months. Enter grandpa.
  I am up to here so far. But it still needs legs. I am having design dilemma.
The legs are only 12-14" tall and barely radiused for rockers on the bottom. Just barely.
  No need to roll far, just a bit of movement is what does the trick.
 But they could be heavy timbers or lighter frame or legs n stretchers?? They could be turned or carved?

 Any ideas?? 

 Oh, its black oak frame and sugar pine stuffing. I like contrast.

I'm thinking removal too -- a separate stand that would fit securely.  I wouldn't do turnings because the design is so strong, and repetition of elements is at the heart of design.  Maybe something like a black oak framed pine panel for the skirt of a topless table sort of affair that repeats the cymer curve at  the head of the cradle?

What a pretty piece, by the way.  Pine is one of my favorite woods to work.  The smell of pine is always pleasant, and it works so nicely under a blade.  Black oak is another favorite,  a generally unsung wood that, to me, is as pretty as white oak.  Good choice!

Here are some of the tools that were absolutely critical on this project so far. Did I mention there is no bad spoke shave??
The quilted sides were carved with a chisel, btw,  but sugar pine ain't called that because its hard to work!!
