a craftsman two speed breast drill with a level ,perfect label and I really needed another drill to go with the other 50 . i believe this drill was made by millers falls for craftsman . i have only seen one other breast drill with both the decal and craftsman stamp on the handle. this one is going to be my winter project to restore.I paid too much for it but you know about getting caught in the auction bidding   lol  bob w.

I REALLY like that drill, what are you going to do to preserve that label ? How much did you pay Bob?

very carefully clean the wheel ,with any luck i may be able to keep the original finish on the wheel.
I really got caught up in the bidding . I paid $20.00 plus buyers premium and tax  but what the heck it will keep me out of the gin mills this winter. I  think that the drill is going to dress up good with minimal paint    bob w.

If you would be so kind as to share a few notes on the restore process, as I have similar drill I would like to restore. I keep a smaller drill on my desktop that I touched up. (Shapleighs)

On previse drills I have conpletely dissassembled the drill, cleaned all parts used steel wool on all parts , covered the gear teeth and bearing surfaces with vasoline with a small paint brush and painted the parts. the best way I have found is to paint parts is a light coating several times rather than two heavy coatings. bob w.

It has been disessembled cleaned , checked for damage or wear and reassembled . I have not decided if i will paint or not so a light coat of oil and in storage till winter
