Utica No. 84 Pliers - Rare?

Hello,

I recently found these Utica pliers and can't find a reference for another No. 84 like them. I have a pair of No. 82 pliers and suppose those are quite common, but these?  I was wondering if anybody has seen these before. I imagine they are used for holding small parts, maybe pins, during assembly.

Any info would be appreciated.

Very unusual, never seen jaws with teeth like that on pliers before. I found a no. 84 in the 1968 catalog but the teeth in the jaws look nothing like that

turnnut, I thought similar to you, as they reminded me of pliers used in Oz to catch beach worms !?
