It has cracks in the clear plastic guides.

Man does that bring back memories.  Too bad you couldn't add and subtract on one, we wouldn't need calculators.  I still have the one I bought in 1960.

I had an old slide rule from school I found a few years back, my boys now 39 and 32 did not know what it was.
Amazing how times change, what about those horrid  logarithm tables books.

Seems to take longer to design and build airplanes todayMine from college was a LOG_LOG_ DECITRIG in 1940s.  Usedit to design an airplane in 1947.  Later before computers we also used calculaters..

Got several, got to dig them out of storage.. maybe post them on craigslist.. Unless someone here still remembers how to use them...

Nice rule but Ill stick with my abacus, I like the basics and too keep things simple
Always looking for what interests me, anything early Dodge Brothers/Graham Brothers trucks ( pre 1932 or so ) and slant six / Super six parts.

That does bring back memories. I carried a Pickett in college. Wife bought me this K & E about 5 minutes before I quit using a slide rule. Consequently it is surviving in almost new condition. Woun't sell or trade it and doubt that I'll ever use it.

Found my old complete set in box, think it was from 1960..
manual #4081-3 copyright 1955... new# 68  1220

still looking for my pocket size I used in high school..

WOW!! checked out the sight..
Lots of info on all Slide rules, even a EBay list of past sale prices... didn't know they were worth so much!!!
