Does anybody recognize this one?

I picked this up in a Mass. antique shop this summer because it was different, and I had never seen one before.  I didn't find anything in Rathbone and the only thing on it is the no. 156 and a letter inside a triangle that I can't make out.

Anybody have any ideas?

teens-20"s era

I would not be surprised if that was the Billings logo.

in the 20"s they competed with Walden Wrenches for the automobile trade and the
box ends of your wrench looks like wrenches of that period.

Turn nut,  that sounds reasonable.  I should have mentioned that the center hex size is 1 5/8" plus a bit, the single BE is 1", and the double BE is 3/4 X 11/16.  Although the double BE may have been used more as a hammer.

Aftermarket Model T Ford tool -- the center octagon (8 sides, not 6) was the hub cap wrench part. The hex on one end fit the spark plug.   Don't know this maker but it was not Billings --  Billings & Spencer was a drop forge specialist & this one is malleable iron.
The same style was produced by E. Edelmann in Chicago -- the marking on theirs was E.E. & Co. 21 .  E.E. & Co. 21's most recent appearance in the MVWC Newsletter was June 2012, pg. 28.

LG, it does look a little like an animal, of course my vision is somewhat suspect since I can't make out the difference between a hexagon and an octagon.  Thanks Stan.

I haven't done much research on it though. The only two references I could quickly find are from ebay. Search Mckinnon wrench for

MacKinnon was a Canadian brand, so it makes sense the seller is in Vermont.

Here is another link that confirms it...in my mind anyway, since the markings are clearly visible.

last night I was looking thru my Floyd Clymers scrapbook of early auto supplies & equipment VOL 1

on page 66 it shows that wrench, on the top of the page;
tools, sockets wrenches and sets. all items shown on this page are for Ford cars only.

Combination Wrench; has T  and hex sockets having opening sizes about 5/8 inch and 3/4 inch; other end socket fits 7/8 inch hex nuts.  5/8 inch socket fits cylinder head bolts or any nuts for 3/8 inch bolts. center socket fits hub cap. length about 10 inches. shipping weight, about 1 3/4 pounds.
