Alfred Egbers obit
« on: June 09, 2014, 09:44:34 AM »
Alfred Egbers of rural Hooper, NE died Friday.  His service is this Wednesday at 1:00 pm in the Uehling, NE auditorium.

Anyone who ever visited the Egbers' will never forget the experience.  Besides being a working business, the place is a museum of farm & metal shop technologies from the past century & a half.

sorry to hear that Alfred passed away.

he always advertised grade one plow handles in the Farm Collector magazine and I had bought about four sets from him in the past, always prompt in his shipping and a good set of handles.

even though I had never met him, I was impressed with his work.

He was about 20 miles from me.   He had several buildings full of tools, almost as interesting as talking to him.   He will be missed.
