It's a Ford Model "A" toolkit wrench for spark plugs and cylinder head bolts. They were only marked with the Ford logo for about the first six months of production.

Bus:

How closely tied were Moore Drop Forging and Ford back in the heyday of the Model T?

As far as I know no ties just contracts at times to furnish certain tools as several others companies logos can be found on the Model "T" tools.

Okay...

I have several of this wrench. I was told by a wrench collector at a MWTCA meet that Moore sold those wrenches through other sources without the Ford logo.

Is this true or false?

That could be true, I really don't know, but as Bus stated most Model A's came with unmarked (no Ford script) tools.

BTW, FWIW, I've seen a few of these wrenches that were marked Ford, but the imprint was soooo faint that it needed a magnifying glass to read it.

I have noticed that also. (I have a few of these Model A wrenches with a real faint Ford script.)

You think Ford bosses are faint?  Try Davis and Overland wrenches.

This wrench can be found marked "Moore Drop Forging Co". I would think they would be after market wrenches.

Like I posted most of the Model "A" spark plug / cylinder head wrenches are not marked Ford (just the first six months of production) which makes the marked ones fairly scarce. I have only had three or four marked ones and several hundred unmarked ones. As far as I know the similar Model "T" spark plug / cylinder head wrenches that come in the tool kits are all marked with the Ford logo.
