There is a Spintite nut driver stand up on eBay if you guys are interested. Not mine just remember you guys were asking Bird about hers.

It is a different style than the wooden & cast iron ones I've seen -- wonder what the vintage is for this one -- post WWII or newer?

Interesting question. I have never seen an aluminum one before.
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Perhaps, but the country went through a kind of fad with alumnium for a while, making things out of it that didn't really make any sense other than the fact it was the latest and greatest thing..
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

The aluminum one is shaped differently than either the iron or wood ones I've seen (the wood one has a bronze colored metal I.D. plate ). Time to do some advanced google book fishing & maybe get lucky there or in some hardware wholesaler's catalog.

+1

I have seen a lot of wood holders for spinite, but never aluminum.
And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
