A small(ish) ax and a small hammer
« on: February 01, 2014, 04:12:00 PM »
Hey Guys
Here are my latest. A small one pound carving ax (don't know if I love it yet or not, preliminary tests aren't bad though)
And a 13 ounce trim carpenters hammer.
Custom handles and of course custom work on the ax and hammer heads.
As I was working up the hammer I started to become aware of the reasons this hammer is a favorite and that hammer is not. Its all about subtle curves and angles.

     yours Scott

Scott,

Those tools are beautiful - simply stunning.  As nice as the heads are, the handles are what really gives them character.
These two are examples of why we collect and restore tools.

I would call that A job well done!

And I'm proud to be an American,
where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.
