Rusty,
Good job. I have a few questions:
In my notes I have Kentucky Drill Co and Brenman & Co. - Louisville, Ky. as being two more companies that joined to form American Seeding Machine Co. in 1903

According to Rathbone's book, P. P. Mast was purchased by The American Seeding Machine Co. in 1906 but
according to C. H. Wendel's book they were one of the forming companies 1903???

A. C. Evans Mfg. Co. was acquired in 1905 by The American Seeding Machine Co.

The American Seeding Machine Co sold The Kentucky and Hoosier divisions to IHC in 1919
The American Seeding Machine Co sold it's rights to The Evans Superior Potato Planter to the LeRoy Plow Co. in 1928.

McKenzie had acquired the Aspinwald Mfg. Co. of Jackson, MI in 1923 (Halberstadt's Oliver book)

Any info on any of this?

Also missing are predecessors to Moline Plow (Adriance, Morgan etc)

I was playing with Geneology software to see is it would be usable for representing this sort of relationship set. It is , unfortunatly, very stubbornly convinced that people have exactly 2 parents, something not true for companies, so I don't know if this will work.

The data set was quick and dirty to see how it worked out with more or less actual data, but it is not really complete, or well checked here...

>A. C. Evans Mfg. Co. was acquired in 1905 by The American Seeding Machine Co

This is another limitation of the software I can't find a way around, representing intermediate aquisitions and spinoffs isn't really what the software does well :(

>... sold it's rights to The Evans Superior Potato Planter

Even more complicated, as there is no actual entity, just rights...
But important, Some of the early companies aquired nearly all of their manufacturing rights, and thus products, from other companies..
And for purposes of wrenches, this is critical...

>P. P. Mast
Data set primarily from Farm Journals, but reference citation tracking is another reason I am playing with this software....
With due respect to Wendel, I trust sources closer to the origin date more than compiled data, but there are conflicts in the journals as well, founding dates for Hoosier Drill for example are totally contradictory..

Farm Impliments announced the aquisition in 1903. It also mentions intentions to keep the name intact,
so I can see it operating for a few years under the same name.
Since it says 'purchased', I assume it was not merged...
