The hacksaw was manufactured in Sweden.  I've never heard those Wright ratchets called Tootsie roll ratchets.  I like it. I picked up another Klein speed driver today.  I didn't have one and now I have three.

Nice batch of tools. I saw one of those Klein hacksaws at Friday's estate sale in Martinez, CA. I think it was made in Europe somewhere. Nice Powr-Kraft tootsie roll ratchet. I like the Klein speed drivers as well.

Today's estate sale buy.  Two NOS packages of Craftsman saw blades, Klein, hacksaw and speed.driver,  Craftsman speed driver needle files, ratchet and socket extensions, Stanley pistolgrip saw, Millers Falls 4 way driver, Crescent linemans pliers, Utica adjustable wrench, Powr-Kraft ratchet and Snap-On sockets and speed driver.  My favorite item is the Klein 701-S high tension hacksaw.

Does the type 6 have a serviceable QR mechanism? While browsing the auction site, I found a type 6, 3/8 drive that included the instruction sheet. It described being able to push the QR button into the ratchet body with a rod to fully drop the ball, then being able to remove the plunger, spring, and ball mechanism for cleaning and oiling. I don't have a type 6, but I tried it on the ones I do have, and none of them support this feature. Searching the internet also did not bring up any search results discussing this feature. I wonder if it is limited to just the type 6?

What I am calling pot metal is non-magnetic , usually a zinc alloy , and other non-ferrous metals. I am not a metallurgist by any means!!

Is pot metal magnetic? I avoid anything made of the stuff like the plague so have no idea.
