Can't figure how this would work. Looks like a wood plane? Any ideas?

Not sure what I am looking at! More photos??

That is definitely a new one for me. I have a hunch it was designed so you could either pull lt or push it. Maybe a floor plane? The skewed cutters are also very uncommon on a plane like this. Looks like the cap iron and lever cap might be missing. A little hard to tell with only one picture. Are there any numbers or letters under all the crud?

Possibly a miter shooting plane. I think this is for a commercial metal frame that was considered one of the best, but danged if I can recall the name.

Bill, You got me thinking about what you said and you are correct. Here’s a screenshot out of a 1904B Millers Falls catalog of the "Rogers Mitre Planer".
