Title: Ohio new guy
Post by: Jethro77 on November 14, 2018, 08:20:22 AM
Hello all,

I found the forum while searching  for  info on a wrench ...
Glad to find that there's apparently a lot of other tool nuts out there.
I guess I'm a wrench collector now ... it started so innocently a few years ago when I grabbed my first S curved wrench at a garage sale. I'm certainly not a big time collector, maybe 200 total?!? So far...
If it's old and curved I like it, but recently I've started picking up wrenches that look like people (abstractly so) is there an existing niche for that?

I'm hoping  to  learn from this well informed  community.

Thank you ,
Matt (aka Jethro)

These are the three "people" wrenches I have ... exclude the Ford one

Hmm ... I'll try again with the picture.

I can't get the image size small enough, I'll try a different tactic later

I opened your image file in Irfanview and resized it to 640x480.

Welcome from the Missouri Ozarks.  I started collecting adjustable S wrenches about 25 years ago and have nearly 200 now.  Have not been able to find one I don't have in years.

Welcome from another Ohio tool nut erm, collector?   I think i have a wrench or two that looks like that, but have not seen any of the S style at all around here (that I recall).

Long shot here.  Sorry. No picture.

I have long been trying to identify a farm wrench that looks like it might be related to the third from the left.

Like yours, it has a rib running down the center and each opening is reinforced with that same connecting rib.
It has one larger opening on the top end and two smaller ones on the other.
Like yours, mine has no identification at all.

The difference is that mine has a small hammerhead built onto the 7/8" top end.
Mine has a 1/2" box opening between the two lower openings (
And it has a gooseneck extending from the bottom, curving to one side, with a 1/2" opening on it.

I have looked high and low, but with no luck. Any ideas?
