Do you recognize this box ? I/m guessing it might be for International sickle bar mower. Has a hint of red paint remaining. Little different construction ends are folded and riveted. Also oil can holder is riveted to box.
-
Better photo of folded ends.
-
Jim, I posted your pictures on a Face Book group and one of the guys is asking if the oil can holder has any numbers cast on or into it?
-
Jim, I don't recall seeing that type of box with the folded ends, but the oil can holder looks like the one they mounted on
the engine compartment firewall of automobiles. Frank
in a few days, I will look for my implement tool box book. ( it's hiding on me )

Indeed there is a part number on bottom side of oilcan holder. It is ?M339. First number is not plain but guessing 6.

Jim, a fellow by the name of Jim Schwartz states the following.
Belongs to a Milwaukee No 10 or 12 Harvester and Binder. There should also be a bracket on the bottom to attach to the machine, part number SE 159. I can see the IHC mark on my bracket and oil can holder. The NO 10 was made from 1900 to 1910 and the 12 from 1907 to 1912
Hope this helps your effort.

Thanks for the info. The M339 looks familiar, think I've had a oil can holder with that number but not with the tool box.
