Title: G. Boley vise
Post by: Ietech on July 29, 2011, 11:48:47 AM
got this guy about 30 years ago and finally found the maker in very small stampings on the stationary jaw I really didn't look too hard in the past but today I did some cleaning and faintly saw the name I rubbed it with regular chalk and sure enough there it was--- It's a G.Boley and the company was in business from 1870 - 1960.

The best guess for this one is late 1950s to early 1960s based on the retired USAF Col I got it from -- he was pretty old and really didn't remember when he got it for sure and he bought it used.
I really enjoy this small vice -- AND the ATLAS anvil in the pic also

UGH sorry for the really bad pics I'm not a very good photographer and not too good at getting them in the post either.

Below is a link to GG with pics of my favorite vise

Um, those of us who are not members of GG cannot access the photos there.  I'd sure like to see that vise, and the anvil, too.
